Step-by-step formula for writing blog posts that both rank in Google and turn readers into coaching clients. Includes a fill-in-the-blank outline.

How to Write Blog Posts That Rank and Convert

Blogging isn’t about writing a diary. For life coaches, blogging is a way to attract clients by answering their real questions. Here’s the formula to write posts that get found by Google and persuade readers to book with you.

The 4-part post formula

  1. Hook / Headline with keyword
Example: “How a Life Coach for Burnout Recovery Helps Stressed Professionals”.

  2. Empathy opener
Speak directly to your reader’s pain: “If you feel like stress is eating your day, you’re not alone.”

  3. Value-packed body
Share 3–5 practical tips, structured with H2 headings. Include your keyword once or twice in natural spots.

  4. CTA with next step
End with a clear action: book a session, download a guide, or read another post.

Fill-in-the-blank outline

  • Title: [How / Why / What] + [Keyword Phrase]
  • Intro: A short empathy story using the keyword once.
  • Section 1: “The problem explained”
  • Section 2: “Why it happens / what’s missing”
  • Section 3: “Steps or solutions”
  • CTA: “Ready to take the next step? Book a free clarity call.”

Internal linking makes posts stronger

Every blog post should link to at least 2 other posts.
Example: In a burnout-related article, link to Top 10 Keywords Life Coaches Should Target or How to Create an SEO-Friendly Life Coach Profile. This creates a web of content that helps both SEO and user experience.

Meta descriptions (don’t skip this!)

Every post should include a short 1–2 sentence meta description with your main keyword. Example:

“Learn how to write life coach blog posts that both rank in Google and convert readers into paying clients.”

Shortcut for coaches who hate writing

If writing feels like pulling teeth, you don’t have to do it all yourself. SEO Micro-Helper can generate keyword-rich outlines and metadata for your posts — you just expand them with your own stories and client examples.
